The August 15th flea market in Villeloin-Coulangé is one of the most important car boot sales of the summer in Indre-et-Loire. Every August 15th, 250 exhibitors — professionals and individuals — take over the village streets to offer antique furniture, tableware, Touraine earthenware, tools, books, trinkets, vintage clothing, toys, embroidered linens, and flea market items. The event attracts bargain hunters from all over southern Touraine and neighboring departments, thanks to the quality and diversity of the stalls.
Villeloin-Coulangé (37460) is a commune in the Lochois region, nestled in the Indrois valley. The village preserves the imposing remains of the Benedictine Abbey of Villeloin, founded in the 9th century, whose Romanesque and Gothic ruins bear witness to eight centuries of monastic history. The parish church, tuffeau houses, and the bridge over the Indrois form a picturesque ensemble. The village also hosts the Festival de l'Ours et du Renard, a renowned puppet festival. The rural setting and heritage make this flea market a particularly pleasant event.
The flea market takes place in the village streets from 6 am to 6 pm. Refreshments and food are available on site. Entry is free for visitors. Exhibitor registrations are handled by the tourist office.
The August 15th flea market in Villeloin-Coulangé returns on August 15, 2026, with 250 exhibitors.
