May Day Flea Market in Uchaux

The Lily of the Valley rendezvous in Uchaux village

Every 1st May, Uchaux renews a well-rooted tradition: the great flea market of Lily of the Valley day, organised by the Uchaux Brocante association. In 2026, on Friday 1st May, the village streets and the surroundings of the Mairie square fill with trestle tables and objects of all kinds. A public holiday ideally placed to open the Provençal spring flea market season.

An authentic village flea market

The atmosphere is that of a beloved Provençal village flea market: residents bring out their treasures in front of their houses, local associations run the refreshment stand, exhibitors from neighbouring villages complete the line-up. Stalls display classic family bric-a-brac: tableware, old agricultural tools, toys, household linen, books and Provençal trinkets.

Uchaux, a village of wooded hills

Halfway between Orange and Bollène, Uchaux is a village of 1,600 inhabitants nestled in wooded hills, the Uchaux massif. This territory is known for its truffle oak groves, where the precious black truffle of Tricastin hides, and for its vineyards under the Massif d'Uchaux appellation, a specific cru of the Côtes du Rhône Villages.
