On Sunday 23 August 2026, Sérignan-du-Comtat organises its traditional late-summer flea market in the Municipal Park, a green haven at the village heart. From 6 am to 3 pm, exhibitors set up under the great trees, offering bargain hunters a pleasant shaded morning, away from the Provençal summer heat. The event is co-organised by the Mairie and the Firefighters' Association.
Sérignan-du-Comtat, a village of 2,700 inhabitants between Orange and Bollène, owes its fame to the illustrious entomologist Jean-Henri Fabre (1823-1915), who settled there in 1879 at the Harmas property. There he wrote the ten volumes of his "Entomological Souvenirs", patiently observing insects in his world-famous garden. The Harmas house-museum, property of the National Museum of Natural History, can be visited.
