Annual flea market and clearance sale at the gateway of the Wine Route
Every third Sunday of October, Marlenheim hosts its great flea market and annual clearance sale. On Sunday, October 18, 2026, the streets of the town center will come alive from early morning to welcome dozens of antique dealers, private exhibitors and shopkeepers offering antiques, dishes, books, clothing, toys, trinkets and curiosities. This event combines bargain hunting, commercial sale and festive atmosphere in one of the most beautiful gateway towns of the Wine Route.
Marlenheim is a charming wine town of nearly 4,000 inhabitants that marks the official starting point of the Alsace Wine Route. Famous for its Rouge de Marlenheim, one of the rare exceptional Alsatian red wines, and for its traditional Marriage of the Friend Fritz Festival, the town offers an authentic setting between vineyards, half-timbered houses and historic heritage. Its strategic position, just a few kilometers from Strasbourg, makes it a favored destination for wine and Alsatian heritage enthusiasts.
The flea market extends over several streets in the center and combines traditional flea market and commercial clearance sale by local shopkeepers. Bargain hunters find collectible items and antiques as well as new items at reduced prices, in a much-appreciated eclectic mix. The day is punctuated by local animations, discovery of wine heritage and the opportunity to taste Marlenheim wines at local winegrowers.
