Monthly flea market in Castries, ZA Via Domitia, on the 1st Sunday of the month with 130 exhibitors
Every 1st Sunday of the month, the Via Domitia business park in Castries transforms into a vast flea market. Around 130 exhibitors, antique dealers and individuals, set up their stalls offering antique and vintage furniture, decorative items, quality second-hand clothes, trinkets, tableware, tools, books and all sorts of curiosities. The generous space of the business park allows for comfortable browsing and a wide variety of stalls.
Castries is a town of over 6,000 inhabitants located east of Montpellier, known for its imposing 16th-century castle, a listed historic monument, and its aqueduct built by Paul Riquet, the builder of the Canal du Midi. The town has successfully combined historical heritage with economic dynamism, with the Via Domitia business park well served by the national road. The very name of the park evokes the Via Domitia, the oldest Roman road in Gaul, which crossed the region.
The Marché aux Puces de Castries has established itself as one of the busiest monthly flea markets in the east of the metropolitan area. Its monthly format allows exhibitors to refresh their stock and treasure hunters to discover new items with each visit. Entry is free, parking is abundant in the business park, and the atmosphere is friendly. Refreshment stands and food stalls accompany the treasure hunters.
From Montpellier, take the RN110 towards Castries. The ZA Via Domitia is accessible from the Castries exit.
