Annual car boot sale in Moussan, a village in the Narbonne plain in the Aude.
There is no edition scheduled in 2026 for this event. This page remains accessible to archive the history of the manifestation and will be updated if a new edition is announced.
Moussan is a village in the Narbonne plain, located a few kilometers northwest of Narbonne, in the Aude. This agricultural town, crossed by the Aude river, organizes a popular car boot sale every year that brings together the residents of the commune and bargain hunters from the Narbonne urban area for a friendly day of second-hand market.
The territory of Moussan extends between the banks of the Aude river and the vineyards of the Narbonne plain. This historically agricultural village has seen its population grow with the development of the Narbonne urban area, but has managed to preserve its village identity and its associative life. The human fabric of Moussan, a mix of former farmers, neo-rural residents, and families from Narbonne, gives the village a diversity that is reflected in the organization of its festive events.
The Moussan car boot sale is held in the public squares and spaces of the village center, attracting private sellers from Moussan and neighboring communes in the Narbonne urban area — Narbonne, Coursan, Ginestas, Argeliers, Saint-Marcel-sur-Aude. The diversity of the populations that make up the peri-urban area of Narbonne guarantees a variety of items offered: clothing of all kinds, furniture and appliances, toys and books for children and adults, tableware and kitchen items, DIY and garden tools, trinkets and curiosities. This abundance makes the Moussan car boot sale particularly rich for bargain hunters.
Moussan's location in the immediate vicinity of Narbonne is an asset for its car boot sale. Narbonne, the third largest city in the Aude after Carcassonne and Castelnaudary, has a significant population base that feeds visitors to events in the surrounding communes. The Moussan car boot sale thus benefits from significant attendance, higher than that of car boot sales in more isolated villages in the department.
As everywhere in the Narbonne plain, summer car boot sales are held under a generous sun and in a warm southern atmosphere. Moussan volunteers run a refreshment stand throughout the event, providing drinks and light snacks for exhibitors and visitors. Entry is free for everyone.
Individuals wishing to exhibit at the Moussan car boot sale can contact the town hall or the festival committee. Registrations are open to non-professionals residing in the commune and to outsiders, subject to available space.
ℹ️ 2026 Edition not confirmed. At the time of our editorial verification (May 2026), we found no public source (organizer, Moussan town hall, flea market aggregators, local press) announcing a garage sale in Moussan on June 21, 2026. If you are the organizer and a garage sale is indeed scheduled for this date, please do not hesitate to inform us via the modification form.
Garage sales identified in Moussan on other dates (the "los Moussanots" edition in September, traditional August 15th flea market) are subject to separate listings or are currently being referenced.
