200 stalls in the heart of Maisons-Alfort with batucada entertainment
Each spring, the Town Centre Flea Market of Maisons-Alfort (94700) establishes itself as one of the most eagerly awaited festive events in the town. Organised by the Association des Commerçants du Centre (ACC), it takes over the commercial heart of the city for a full day of bargain hunting, socialising and popular festivities.
Around 200 stalls – mainly private sellers – set up along Avenue du Général de Gaulle and the surrounding streets. The variety of items on offer is impressive: clothing, toys, books, crockery, decorative objects, knick-knacks and all manner of curiosities. From seasoned antique hunters to Sunday strollers, everyone finds something to enjoy in a friendly, family atmosphere.
What sets this flea market apart is its musical atmosphere. The Lézard Tape batucada group performs in the streets throughout the day, bringing a Brazilian festive touch to this popular event. Quick catering is available in the town hall park, just steps from the stalls.
