A school flea market at the Drôme-Vaucluse crossroads
On Sunday 26 April 2026 from 8 am, the courtyard of the Louis-Pergaud school in Lapalud hosts the flea market organised by the Sou des Écoles Laïques. A cheerful spring rendezvous where parents, residents and local bargain hunters gather in a friendly atmosphere, at the edge of Vaucluse and Drôme Provençale. Proceeds fund school outings and educational projects.
On Sunday 26 April 2026, the courtyard of the Louis-Pergaud school in Lapalud becomes an open-air marketplace. From 8 am, volunteer parents from the Sou des Écoles Laïques welcome exhibitors and bargain hunters. A friendly morning where recycling meets community, with all proceeds going to school projects: field trips, educational materials and cultural outings.
The setting is a classic village school: a playground lined with plane trees, sheltered areas if the weather turns grey, and a family atmosphere. Stalls display toys, children's clothing, books for all ages, tableware and everyday bric-a-brac from Lapalud attics.
At the far north of Vaucluse, on the border with Drôme, Lapalud is a small village of 3,800 inhabitants nestled on the left bank of the Rhône. The Louis-Pergaud school, named after the author of "War of the Buttons", is the heart of village family life.
