Car boot sale by the Lou Feyta association in Saint-Philippe-d'Aiguille, heart of the Côtes de Castillon vineyards
Every year in June, the Lou Feyta association organizes a popular car boot sale in the village center of Saint-Philippe-d'Aiguille (33350). The name "Lou Feyta" evokes festivity and joy in Occitan, and it is in this spirit that this event takes place. Individual exhibitors set up their stalls in the village streets to offer clothes, toys, books, tableware, trinkets, and various items at low prices.
Saint-Philippe-d'Aiguille is a small village of about 350 inhabitants perched on the hillsides of the Côtes de Castillon, east of Libournais. The vineyard, planted on clay-limestone soils, produces powerful and elegant red wines that are among the most appreciated on the right bank of Bordeaux. The village offers a remarkable panorama of the vine-covered hills, with the first foothills of the Périgord in the background. This exceptional landscape gives the car boot sale a very special charm.
The Lou Feyta association is the main driving force behind the associative life of Saint-Philippe-d'Aiguille. It organizes unifying events throughout the year: village festivals, meals, hikes, and of course, the annual car boot sale. The refreshment stand run by volunteers offers drinks and light snacks. The atmosphere is warm and family-friendly, typical of this small village where conviviality is a core value.
