The L'Orbrie flea market

L'Orbrie is a small village of around 800 in South-Vendée, just minutes from Fontenay-le-Comte. Its annual flea market on Sunday 26 April 2026 is a popular spring rendezvous. The event stays human-scale — like the village — with a family atmosphere that regulars love.

Private vendors from the village and neighbouring communes lay out clothes, toys, tableware, bibelots, books and small furniture. The village centre or community hall area makes a pleasant setting.

L'Orbrie, on the edge of Mervent forest

L'Orbrie lies beside the Mervent-Vouvant forest, one of Vendée's finest, and a few km from Fontenay-le-Comte, a historic former sous-préfecture. The landscape mixes Vendée plain, bocage and woodland, with the Marais poitevin close by.
