About Limay Records & Comics Fair

Organised by the Big Band Vexinée association, the Limay Records, Comics, Cinema and Musical Instruments Fair celebrated its 29th edition in 2026 on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March, 10 AM to 6 PM, at the Guy Môquet gym. Around 80 exhibitors, 300 metres of bins, over 100,000 vinyl records and comics on sale and exchange: the go-to event for collectors in the northern Yvelines.

29 years of passion for vinyl and comics in Limay

A major cultural event on the right bank of the Seine in the Mantes area, the Limay Records, Comics, Cinema and Musical Instruments Fair celebrated its 29th edition on 28 and 29 March 2026. Run for nearly three decades by the musical association Big Band Vexinée, it has become one of the leading collectors' fairs for vinyl records and comics in western Paris. The event draws over 1,000 visitors each year from the Yvelines, Normandy, Picardy and the greater Paris region.

A wealth of finds for every collector

The Guy Môquet gym, rue Charles Tellier, became an Ali Baba's cave for the weekend. Over 100,000 vinyl records (LPs, 45s, 12-inch singles, picture discs), CDs, DVDs, audio cassettes, and thousands of comics spanning all eras and genres. Exhibitors also offered film posters, collectible figurines, sheet music, reading accessories and, unusually, second-hand musical instruments. A haven for 1970s rock fans, jazz lovers, rap-rock diggers and readers of Franco-Belgian, American or manga comics alike.

An event backed by cultural partnerships

The 29th edition hosted five comic book authors for signings: Christophe Ansar, Alexandre Decrauze, Pierre-Emmanuel Dequest, Philippe Guillaume and Virginio Vona. An exhibition was also dedicated to Gradimir Smudja's "Jesse Owens, des miles et des miles", winner of the 2025 comics award. A long-standing partnership with the Bulles de Mantes blog, a recognised local cultural actor, boosts the fair's reach. Around 80 amateur and professional exhibitors fill 300 linear metres of bins, creating a dense and varied market.

Big Band Vexinée, a key cultural association

Big Band Vexinée, a Seine valley music outfit, has been putting its volunteers behind the fair since the beginning. The association uses part of the proceeds to fund its musical activities and its efforts to promote local music. The symbolic 1 euro entrance fee goes to local causes.

Limay, a lively Mantes area town

Located on the right bank of the Seine, opposite Mantes-la-Jolie, Limay (nearly 16,000 inhabitants) is an industrious and commercial town with a dynamic cultural policy. The Guy Môquet gym on rue Charles Tellier is accessible by car via the A13 motorway (Mantes-la-Jolie exit) or by train via Mantes-la-Jolie station (Transilien J line, and soon the RER E).

29th edition: renewed success

On 28 and 29 March 2026, the Guy Môquet gym came alive with the 29th edition of the Limay Records, Comics, Cinema and Musical Instruments Fair. Over 1,000 visitors browsed the 300 metres of bins filled with vinyl records, CDs, DVDs, comics and instruments offered by around 80 amateur and professional exhibitors.

The presence of five comic book authors signing (Christophe Ansar, Alexandre Decrauze, Pierre-Emmanuel Dequest, Philippe Guillaume, Virginio Vona) and the exhibition dedicated to Gradimir Smudja, 2025 comics award winner, gave this edition extra soul. Big Band Vexinée confirmed its role as a major cultural actor in the Mantes area.
