A flea market in the heart of Tours

Every Wednesday and Saturday morning, from 8 am to 12 pm, the Place de la Victoire transforms into a hunting ground for flea market enthusiasts. Les Puces de Tours brings together up to 35 professional exhibitors who unpack their treasures: antique furniture, rare books, vinyl records, vintage clothing, trinkets, tableware, and curiosities of all kinds. The friendly morning atmosphere of this small flea market appeals to regulars and passing tourists alike, who come to discover the Touraine lifestyle between visits to the Loire Valley castles.

Place de la Victoire, a showcase for Touraine

Located a stone's throw from the Tours train station and the boulevard Heurteloup, Place de la Victoire is a key hub in the city. This dynamic district of Tours, the prefecture of Indre-et-Loire, offers an ideal setting for browsing the dealers' stalls before continuing your walk towards the rue Nationale, the Vieux-Tours and its half-timbered houses, or the banks of the Loire. The proximity of the botanical garden and the Fine Arts museum nicely complements a morning of treasure hunting.

Les Puces de Tours is part of a long tradition of flea markets in the Loire Valley. The region, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is full of architectural and furniture treasures. The professional dealers present on Wednesdays and Saturdays regularly offer items related to local history: Tours earthenware, prints of the Loire Valley castles, old books by Rabelais or Balzac, famous figures from Touraine. Entry is free and access is open.
