Les Herbiers Grand Flea Market

An institution of the Vendée bocage

Les Herbiers Grand Flea Market is one of Vendée's most popular bargain-hunting events. Each spring it draws sellers from across Pays de la Loire and beyond, plus thousands of visitors. For 24 May 2026, more than half the pitches were booked by January.

The event spreads across much of the town centre and adjoining car parks, turning Les Herbiers into a vast open-air market. Private sellers and professional dealers mix in a festive atmosphere from dawn to late afternoon.

Les Herbiers, Haut-Bocage capital

A lively town of over 17,000, halfway between Cholet and La Roche-sur-Yon. Strong industry (Jeanneau, Airbus) and dynamic commerce. The Mont des Alouettes with its iconic windmills overlooks the bocage.

Close to the Puy du Fou (10 km in Les Epesses) and Mont Mercure (Vendée's highest point at 290 m). Also the 11th-century Grainetière Abbey and Grammont priory.

Dedicated website (lesherbiers.grandvidegreniers.fr) for pitch booking. 2.5 m outdoor pitches at €9/metre. Food stands throughout the zone. Town-organised parking with clear signage.

Tips

Book early as a seller - pitches fill fast. Visitors: arrive from 7am for best finds. Sturdy bags and food on site. A full day is needed to cover all stands.
