The village's second summer flea market
Le Val, a famed Provence Verte wine village, hosts several summer flea markets. After the busy late-July 'Greniers dans la rue', it runs a second flea market late summer — Sunday 30 August 2026 per specialist calendars. Smaller but equally liked, closing the season before September.
The late-summer slot gives it a distinct tone: departing holidaymakers lighten luggage, villagers enjoy last pleasant evenings, regulars grab the last good deals. Also a good chance to prep for back-to-school with gentle prices on kids items or student furniture.
Provençal vibe: stalls in the centre, open cafés, wine tastings nearby. Typical hours: morning to early afternoon, early setup for the cool. Free admission.
With at least two summer flea markets and its weekly Provençal market, Le Val is one of the most active Provence Verte flea-market hubs. Star-shaped historic core, Notre-Dame collegiate, old town hall, pedestrian alleys, AOC Côtes de Provence wineries — plenty of reasons to stay.
Via A8 (Brignoles exit) toward Carcès. Park on the outskirts. Hat, water, cash. Late-August noon can still be hot — arrive early.
Carcès lake (15 min) for freshness. Neighbouring Carcès, Cotignac, Entrecasteaux for touring. Many wineries. Coast 45 min.
