Auto and motorcycle spare parts exchange fair in front of the Lydia liner
Every year at the end of September, the Esplanade du Lydia in Le Barcarès transforms into a vast gathering of vintage car and motorcycle enthusiasts. The Auto Moto Retro Exchange Fair, organized by Retro Organisation, unfolds over two days facing the legendary Lydia liner, a ship voluntarily beached on the sand of Le Barcarès in 1967 that has become an emblem of the resort.
Over two full days, collectors, professionals, and amateurs meet to exchange, sell, and buy everything related to the world of vintage vehicles. The stands offer a huge selection of spare parts for vintage cars and motorcycles, period accessories, car and motorcycle miniatures, technical documentation, old magazines, enameled plates, tools, and vintage mechanic's clothing. It's the perfect opportunity for restorers to find the missing part for their project.
Few exchange fairs can boast such a spectacular setting. The Esplanade du Lydia, a vast space developed facing the liner beached on the sand, offers a unique backdrop for this event. Between the Mediterranean and the ship museum, visitors stroll between the stands in an atmosphere that is both friendly and spectacular. Access to the esplanade is easy, with vast parking nearby.
Over the years, the Retro Organisation association has established itself as a reference in the organization of events dedicated to the automotive and motorcycle heritage of the region. With this Le Barcarès fair, it offers enthusiasts from the Pyrénées-Orientales and neighboring departments a unique opportunity to meet at the end of the summer season, in an ideal setting to extend summer by the Mediterranean.
