The Sunday meeting point for bargain hunters along the Caramy river in Brignoles
Every Sunday morning, the shaded banks of the Caramy river turn into a bargain hunters' paradise in the heart of Brignoles. From 7am to 2:30pm, around forty exhibitors display books, curios, antique tableware, vintage clothing and small furniture under century-old plane trees. A Provençal stroll between birdsong and the scent of treasures, all year round in the capital of the Provence Verte region.
Every Sunday, regardless of the season, the green banks of the Caramy host the Puces des Berges du Caramy, an open-air flea market and vide-grenier that has become one of the essential Sunday gatherings of the Provence Verte. Nestled in the heart of Brignoles, the site runs along the river that crosses the town and offers a privileged natural setting: majestic plane trees, old stone bridges, landscaped banks and a peaceful atmosphere, far from the saturated circuits of the Var coastline.
From 7am, the first sellers set up their stalls along the shaded walkways. Attendance is loyal: forty to fifty stands unpack every week, combining private sellers emptying their attics with small antique dealers from across inland Var.
The diversity of the stalls is the charm of the event. You will find family bric-a-brac alongside more refined finds: Provençal earthenware from Moustiers or Aubagne, embroidered linens, antique books and comic books, vinyl records from the 60s to the 90s, rustic furniture, retro lighting, postcards, old toys and advertising items. Vintage lovers often spot pieces from the 1950s to 70s at reasonable prices.
The market remains on a human scale: you take time to chat, gently bargain, stop for a coffee. Regulars meet between two aisles in the shared Sunday ritual.
Halfway between Aix-en-Provence and Nice, one hour from Marseille, Brignoles is the heart of a rich terroir: Côtes de Provence vineyards, olive groves, cork oak forests and the Sainte-Baume massif. The medieval town deserves a stroll before or after the flea market.
For 2026, the Caramy Riverbanks Flea Market continues its weekly appointment throughout the year: every Sunday from 7am to 2:30pm, on the banks of the Caramy in Brignoles. 40 to 50 exhibitors expected each week, preserved Provençal atmosphere, free admission.
