In the heart of the Vimeu, this industrious region of the Somme that extends between the Bay of Somme and the Ponthieu, the village of Ochancourt hosts its annual spring flea market named La Chouette Brocante. Set up on the Town Hall Square, in the center of the village, the event brings together private exhibitors and a few professionals for a friendly day of bargain hunting. The name, imbued with Picardy humor and warmth, announces from the outset the good-natured spirit of the event.

The Vimeu, land of bargain hunting

Ochancourt is located in this part of the Somme department where the industrial traditions of locksmithing and taps long animated the villages. This artisanal heritage can sometimes be found at local flea markets, where you can discover old tools, vintage hardware or metal objects typical of Vimeu production.
