Every August 15th, the small town of Saint-Laurent-en-Grandvaux in the Haut-Jura comes alive to host L'Abonde, an artisanal market and popular festival organized for over 30 years by the association Abonde Animation. This event has become over the decades an unmissable gathering on the Grandvaux plateau.

Over 100 artisans

L'Abonde's artisanal market brings together over 100 artisans from all over the Jura region and neighboring areas. You can discover original creations: pottery, jewelry, woodwork, textiles, leather goods, lighting, and many other skills. Artisans from the Haut-Jura are particularly well represented, including wood turners, lapidaries, and cheese affineurs.

A cultural program

Beyond the market, L'Abonde offers a cultural program with shows, concerts, and activities for all ages. This festive and artistic dimension distinguishes L'Abonde from a simple artisanal market and makes it a true cultural event for the Grandvaux territory.

Saint-Laurent-en-Grandvaux, heart of the Haut-Jura

Saint-Laurent-en-Grandvaux is a commune in the Haut-Jura located at an altitude of 900 meters, on the Grandvaux plateau. Surrounded by spruce forests, lakes, and valleys, the town is an ideal starting point for exploring the Haut-Jura Regional Natural Park. On August 15th, L'Abonde transforms Place Pasteur and the adjacent streets into a festive and artisanal village.

The Abonde Animation association brings together passionate volunteers each year who invest themselves to offer visitors a quality program.
