Joyeuse Professional Flea Market Fair

Looking back at the April 2025 edition

On April 26 and 27, 2025, the place de la Grand Font in Joyeuse hosted the traditional Professional Flea Market Fair, organized by the Mairie de Joyeuse. This biannual event of the Ardèche spring once again brought together dozens of professional dealers and antique dealers offering their selection of antique furniture, collectibles, and antiques in the majestic setting of this medieval village in Bas-Vivarais.

Open to the public from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both days, the fair benefited from favorable spring weather, attracting many visitors—local residents, antique enthusiasts from the region, tourists passing through southern Ardèche—who could stroll freely and for free among the stalls. Exhibitors, present since dawn, offered a wide variety of authentic goods: characteristic antique furniture, regional tableware and earthenware, old tools from rural Ardèche, vintage lighting, paintings, silverware, and curios.

This 2025 edition continued the tradition of a fair that has energized the cultural and economic life of Joyeuse since 1998 for the spring edition. The professional April fair positions itself as one of the first major flea markets of the season in southern Ardèche, extending the dynamism of the Barjac fair (Gard) held a few days earlier. Industry professionals find a quality location—shaded square, dedicated parking, coffee offered—in a village whose medieval heritage and tourist reputation contribute to the event's appeal.

The next spring edition of the Joyeuse Professional Flea Market Fair is scheduled for April 11 and 12, 2026, still at the place de la Grand Font. Professionals wishing to register can contact the town hall starting the autumn before the edition.
