The Sunday rendezvous for bargain hunters, at the gates of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyards
Located at 529 Route d'Orange, on the outskirts of Jonquières toward the Châteauneuf-du-Pape hillsides, the weekly flea market has become one of the reference Sunday gatherings of the Rhône valley. Every Sunday from 5am to 2pm, between one and two hundred exhibitors occupy the open-air and partially covered site. Jonquières village, nestled between Orange and Carpentras, should not be confused with Jonquières-Saint-Vincent in neighbouring Gard.
Private sellers clearing attics rub shoulders with professional antique dealers on tour and specialised traders (records, books, tools, crockery, vintage clothing). Items range from Provençal antique furniture and faience crockery to postcards, clockwork pieces and militaria.
Jonquières occupies a privileged position in the most prestigious vineyard of the Rhône valley. A few kilometres from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Courthézon and Sorgues, the village attracts hunters and wine tourists. Easy access from A7 (Orange-Sud exit) and D950.
Every Sunday 5am-2pm, year-round.
529 Route d'Orange, 84150 Jonquières. Not to be confused with Jonquières-Saint-Vincent (Gard).
On-site parking: 1.50 euro.
100 to 200 pitches. 9 euros indoor or outdoor for private sellers, 18.50 euros for commercial traders.
