The 72nd Issoudun Motorcycle Market is one of the oldest and most renowned two-wheeler markets in France. For over seven decades, the Place du 10 Juin has hosted a vast open-air market from 6 am, bringing together classic motorcycles, modern motorcycles, mopeds, scooters, used spare parts, accessories, rider equipment, and technical documentation. No engine size restrictions are imposed: from the Solex to the superbike, all two-wheelers have their place. Mechanics enthusiasts come to hunt for rare parts, hard-to-find carburetors, or collectible motorcycles awaiting restoration.

The MELI motorcycle club, pillar of the event

The market is organized by the MELI motorcycle club, a volunteer association from Issoudun that has worked for decades to sustain this hub for motorcycle spare parts in Berry. The club has an equipped workshop and organizes two annual markets in Issoudun, as well as the moped, chain, and roller market in November. Issoudun, a sub-prefecture of Indre with about 12,000 inhabitants, is a city of art and history with a rich heritage: the Tour Blanche, the Musée de l'Hospice Saint-Roch (Trees of Jesse), and an old industrial and artisanal tradition.
