The Spring Market, Issou's mid-April gathering

Each year around mid-April, Issou offers a spring event that stands out for its two-day format: the Spring Market. Organised by a local association and listed on HelloAsso, it is the season's first major opportunity for browsing and selling in the village, before the May Everything Fair and the other summer events.

An unusual two-day format

Unlike many flea markets confined to a single day, Issou's Spring Market stretches over a full weekend, which offers several advantages: sellers can set up more calmly, present more items, and visitors have more time to come back and negotiate. Families can make a true weekend outing of it.

What you'll find

Residents make up the bulk of the exhibitors: people from Issou and neighbouring villages using the spring clean-out to empty closets, garages and attics. You'll find a broad variety of second-hand goods: clothes for the whole family, children's toys, kitchen utensils, small furniture, decoration, books, records, board games and various bric-à-brac. Prices are generally modest, true to the spirit of village exchanges.

A local event managed via HelloAsso

Using HelloAsso for exhibitor registration reflects the associative and transparent nature of the event. Stands can be booked online at 20 euros, a reasonable sum that generally includes access to both days.

Issou, between the Seine and Moisson's vineyards

Issou is a small commune of about 3,500 residents in western Yvelines, nestled in a bend of the Seine near Meulan, Limay and Mantes-la-Jolie. Its rural setting and green spaces make it a pleasant place for a spring day of browsing.
