The HMO Car Boot Sale, a Sporting and Friendly Event

Every May, the football club Haut Minervois Olympique (HMO) organizes its annual grand car boot sale at the Stade des Écoles in Rieux-Minervois. With around 300 exhibitors, this event is one of the most important car boot sales in the Minervois audois and is the club's main festive event, with proceeds directly funding sports activities and team supervision.

300 Exhibitors at the Stade des Écoles

The Stade des Écoles in Rieux-Minervois offers a spacious setting to accommodate the approximately 300 pitches available to exhibitors. Individuals and second-hand dealers gather at dawn, with the car boot sale opening its doors at 6 am and closing at 5 pm. Refreshments and food provided on-site by HMO volunteers allow visitors to spend the entire day at the event in good conditions.

Rieux-Minervois, a Gallo-Roman Village in the Minervois

Rieux-Minervois (11160) is a village of about 2,000 inhabitants, located in the heart of the Minervois, between Narbonne and Carcassonne. This wine-growing village is particularly known for its unique 12th-century heptagonal church with a rotunda, a listed historic monument. The Minervois, a wine-growing region renowned for its AOC wines, offers an exceptional natural and cultural setting.
