The Conseil Citoyen 05 organizes a car boot sale every year in the Haut-Gap neighborhood, around the Les Pléiades social center, at 20 avenue de Bure. This local event aims to create social connections in this residential area north of the Hautes-Alpes prefecture, while allowing residents to clear out their attics and closets at low prices.

Haut-Gap is a residential neighborhood located north of the city, a few minutes from the historic city center. The Les Pléiades social center is a hub for associations and cultural activities that brings residents together around common projects. The car boot sale is part of this participatory and citizen-driven approach.

Exhibitors offer a wide range of second-hand items: old crockery, trinkets, frames and mirrors, books and magazines, toys, clothes, small appliances, tools, sports equipment, vinyl records and CDs, household linen, and decorative objects. In the Hautes-Alpes, you can also regularly find typical mountain items: old agricultural tools, cowbells, Savoyard furniture, vintage skis, snowshoes, and hiking equipment. The generally very attractive prices make these car boot sales an economical and ecological alternative to buying new.
