May 8th car boot sale and flower market in the streets of Haudainville, near Verdun
Every May 8th, a public holiday, the village of Haudainville (55100) organizes an event that combines a car boot sale and a flower market. Exhibitors take over the village streets to offer second-hand items, clothing, toys, and trinkets, while nursery owners and horticulturists present seasonal plants, flowers, and shrubs.
Haudainville is a commune located a few kilometers south of Verdun, on the road to Metz. The village benefits from a green setting, between the Meuse river and the wooded hills that characterize this area of the department. The proximity of Verdun attracts many visitors who take advantage of the public holiday to combine historical sightseeing with spring treasure hunting.
Organized by the Haudainville Municipality, the event is designed to be family-friendly and accessible to all with free entry. The refreshment stand and snack bar on site allow visitors to eat throughout the day. The flower market adds a spring dimension to this event, highly appreciated by amateur gardeners who find vegetable plants, annuals, and perennials at attractive prices.
