Every November 1st, the village of Haraucourt hosts its annual flea market and brocante. Now in its 59th edition, this autumnal event in the Ardennes brings together exhibitors and bargain hunters for a day of flea market shopping in this Ardennes village in the canton of Sedan. A long-standing tradition for flea market enthusiasts from the Ardennes and neighboring regions.
Every November 1st – All Saints' Day, a public holiday – the village of Haraucourt (Ardennes) hosts its annual flea market and brocante. Now in its 59th edition, this autumnal event is one of the oldest and most consistent brocante events in the Ardennes department. The November 1st date, a long family holiday, encourages public participation and creates a special atmosphere, between the last breath of Ardennes autumn and a deeply rooted popular tradition.
Born nearly sixty years ago, the Haraucourt Flea Market has spanned the decades, maintaining its unchanging annual appointment: the first of November, regardless of the autumn weather. This longevity testifies to the attachment of the inhabitants of Haraucourt and neighboring communes to their annual market, as well as the attraction it holds for collectors and bargain hunters from the Ardennes, Belgium, and Luxembourg. In 59 years, generations of families have passed down the habit of coming to hunt for treasures in Haraucourt on All Saints' Day.
Haraucourt is a village in the canton of Sedan, located in the valleys and hills stretching between the city of Sedan and the Belgian border. The Ardennes setting – dense forests, winding valleys, and discreetly charming villages – offers a particularly enchanting atmosphere in autumn, when the russet and orange leaves of the Ardennes deciduous trees create a spectacular palette of colors. The November 1st flea market fits perfectly into this autumnal atmosphere that has inspired so many artists and writers.
The Haraucourt Flea Market welcomes both individuals who take advantage of November 1st to clear out their attics and professional dealers offering carefully selected goods. The diversity of exhibitors guarantees a varied offering: furniture, tableware, books, antique tools, toys, clothing, trinkets, militaria, postcards, and collectibles. The unpretentious, traditional flea market atmosphere is appreciated by regulars who find the same exhibitors and faces each year in the crisp November mornings.
The Haraucourt Flea Market is held every November 1st in Haraucourt. Exhibitors set up early in the morning (usually from 7 am), and visitors are welcome until late afternoon. Entry is free. It is advisable to dress warmly, as November mornings in the Ardennes can be cold and damp. Haraucourt is accessible from Sedan (about 15 km) and Charleville-Mézières (about 30 km).
The 59th edition of the Haraucourt Flea Market and Brocante will be held on Sunday, November 1st, 2026. An unmissable autumnal event in the Ardennes.
