Every Easter Monday, the association La Renanaise organizes its large flea market in the covered spaces of the center of Saint-Renan. The event takes over the Espace Culturel and the salle Guyader, at 15 place du Docteur Paul Guyader, to host over 120 exhibitors spread over 600 linear meters. Doors open at 9 am for visitors and close at 6 pm, allowing for a full day of bargain hunting.
Individuals and professionals mingle to offer a wide range of goods: antique furniture, tableware, books, vinyl records, clothing, trinkets, vintage toys, tools, and decorative objects. The market is held in a fully covered area, making it a comfortable event regardless of the Breton weather, even in April.
The association La Renanaise is the historic organizer of this event which has been a highlight of the Léon region's calendar for many years. It strives to maintain a friendly atmosphere and ensure the quality of the exhibitors present. Tables are provided, and portal stands are not accepted. Registrations are preferably made by email. Refreshments and light catering (sandwiches, crepes, drinks) are offered on site by the association throughout the day.
Admission is set at €1.50 per adult, and entry is free for children under 12 years old. This modest price makes it an accessible family outing for everyone on this public holiday in spring.
Saint-Renan is a commune of nearly 8,000 inhabitants, a cantonal capital, located about ten kilometers west of Brest. Former capital of the county of Léon in the Middle Ages, it retains a beautiful market square surrounded by jettied houses and remarkable architectural heritage. Its traditional Saturday morning market is one of the busiest in the Brest region, and its Easter Monday flea market naturally fits into this centuries-old trading tradition.
The town offers all necessary amenities: shops, restaurants, and parking near the Espace Culturel. On Easter Monday, many visitors make it a stop on their Easter weekend in Finistère.
The Grande Foire aux Puces of La Renanaise was held on Monday, April 21, 2025, and is scheduled for Monday, April 6, 2026, at the Espace Culturel and salle Guyader, 15 place du Docteur Paul Guyader, Saint-Renan. Opening hours from 9 am to 6 pm, over 120 exhibitors, admission €1.50.
