Every year in March, the Maison des Brocanteurs in Châteaudun organizes its Grande Brocante, an event that is both professional and popular. Nestled within the walls of the former Hôtel-Dieu in Châteaudun — a remarkable historic building located in the heart of the town —, this flea market brings together professional dealers from all over the Centre-Val de Loire region and beyond.

The Maison des Brocanteurs, an exceptional venue

The Maison des Brocanteurs in Châteaudun is an initiative by Julien Cohen, a presenter and flea market enthusiast, who has taken over the Hôtel-Dieu in Châteaudun to make it a permanent center dedicated to professional dealers. Open since June 2023, the house hosts about fifteen permanent dealers from Friday to Monday, from 10 am to 6 pm. Entry is free, and over 15,000 visitors frequent it each year.

An annual event of great scale

The Grande Brocante in March goes beyond the usual scope of the house: dozens of additional professional dealers set up in the courtyard of the Hôtel-Dieu to offer their finest pieces. Antique furniture, lighting, paintings, ceramics, silverware, old books, unusual objects… the selection is both wide and of high quality. The professional selection guarantees authentic and well-presented items.

The Hôtel-Dieu, an exceptional heritage setting

The Hôtel-Dieu in Châteaudun is one of the most remarkable monuments in the town. This former hospice, with origins dating back to the Middle Ages, forms a coherent architectural ensemble around its inner courtyard. This heritage setting gives the flea market a unique atmosphere, blending French history with a passion for antique objects.
