The summer flea market event in Duras

Every August 15th, the village of Duras (47120) transforms into a large flea market and craft fair. The Place du 11 Novembre and the covered market hall host about fifteen professional flea market dealers offering antique furniture, decorative items, trinkets, and curiosities. More than 25 artisan creators set up on the square and in the shopping street to present their creations: ceramics, jewelry, leather goods, paintings, and sculptures. A pop-up shop for creators is open in the Salle Louise Félicité.

Food trucks and conviviality

The event is designed for a full day of enjoyment. Food trucks and the terraces of the village's bars and restaurants offer a variety of food throughout the day. Access to the village is restricted to vehicles to allow for the setup of terraces and safe visitor circulation. Admission is free, and parking is available on the outskirts of the village.

Entertainment at the Château de Duras

The Château de Duras, an imposing medieval fortress overlooking the Dropt valley, also offers entertainment related to the festive day: falconry, knight tournaments, and mapping on the facades. From 7 pm, a night market and musical entertainment extend the celebration into the evening, making August 15th a truly exceptional day in the Duras calendar.

Duras, between bastide and vineyards

Duras is a medieval bastide perched on a promontory overlooking the confluence of the Dropt and Dourdou rivers, on the border of Lot-et-Garonne and Gironde.
