Annual grand flea market and car boot sale of Vouvray, in the heart of the Vouvray vineyard
The Grande brocante de Vouvray is a major event in the Tourangeau calendar. Organized every September in the streets and at the public school of this world-renowned wine village, it attracts hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of visitors.
The Grande brocante de Vouvray is an unmissable annual event for bargain hunters in Touraine. Located in the Rue des Écoles and at the public elementary school, it brings together hundreds of exhibitors—individuals and professionals—over a vast area. The selection is exceptionally varied: antique furniture, tableware, silverware, books, vinyl records, vintage clothing, tools, toys, trinkets, lighting, linens, and collector's items. The proximity of the wine cellars allows for a visit to be complemented by a tasting.
Vouvray is world-famous for its white wine made from the chenin grape, produced on the slopes of the Loire since the Gallo-Roman era. This commune of about 3,000 inhabitants, located eight kilometers east of Tours, offers a landscape of limestone hills, troglodyte caves, and panoramas of the Loire. The Vouvray AOC appellation—still and sparkling wines—is among the most prestigious in the Loire Valley.
The Grande brocante is held on a Sunday in September, with free admission. Parking is organized on the outskirts of the town. It's the perfect opportunity to combine a morning of bargain hunting with a walk through the vineyards and a cellar visit.
The Grande brocante de Vouvray returns in September 2026 in the heart of the vineyard.
