The big annual street sale of Mordelles, over 1200 stalls in the heart of the village
The Grande Braderie de Mordelles is one of the unmissable events of the back-to-school season in Ille-et-Vilaine. Every year in September, the town west of Rennes hosts over 1200 2-meter stalls spread throughout the streets of the town center, from the Place des Muletiers to the shopping streets. Organized by the MASK committee (Mordelles Animation Sport Kulture), this festive day combines bargains, on-site catering, and entertainment for the whole family.
The Grande Braderie de Mordelles has established itself as one of the most important events of its kind west of the Rennes metropolitan area. With its 1200 stalls arranged along the streets of the town center, from the Place des Muletiers to the adjacent streets, the event offers an exceptional treasure hunting experience. Individuals and exhibitors offer clothes, furniture, toys, books, dishes, trinkets, and objects of all kinds at unbeatable prices. The atmosphere is friendly, family-oriented, and the village of Mordelles is adorned with colors for a day.
The association MASK (Mordelles Animation Sport Kulture) orchestrates this street sale with proven expertise. From dawn, exhibitors set up their stalls while the first treasure hunters arrive in search of a rare find. On-site catering — galettes-saucisses, crêpes, fries, and drinks — allows participants to regain strength between finds. Carousels and entertainment for children complete the setup, making this street sale a true family event.
Located just 12 kilometers west of Rennes, Mordelles is a dynamic town of over 7,000 inhabitants that has preserved its village identity while benefiting from the proximity of the metropolis. The town center, with its Saint-Pierre church and picturesque streets, offers a pleasant setting for this street sale day. Access is facilitated by the Route de Lorient and the STAR bus lines.
The Grande Braderie de Mordelles returns in September 2026 to the town center, Place des Muletiers. Over 1200 stalls, free entry, catering, and entertainment.
