Marie Lebreton school hosts its annual flea market in Tancarville, a charming Norman village famous for its suspension bridge over the Seine. Around a hundred exhibitors offer clothes, toys, books, knick-knacks and collectibles from dawn. A family day at the foot of the Tancarville bridge, with proceeds supporting school projects.
On Sunday June 7, 2026, the team of Marie Lebreton school hosts its annual flea market in and around the school grounds. From 7:30am, locals and bargain hunters fill the aisles to find the perfect item among carefully arranged stalls. Clothes, toys, crockery, vinyl records, small furniture, books and knick-knacks: variety abounds until 5:30pm.
This festive day has a charitable purpose: all profits from pitches and the 1 € entry fee go to the school cooperative, funding educational outings and materials for Tancarville's pupils.
Located in the Boucles de la Seine Normande regional nature park, Tancarville is world-famous for its spectacular suspension bridge opened in 1959, spanning the Seine estuary at the gateway to maritime Normandy. The village retains the ruins of its medieval cliff-top castle, witness to the region's rich feudal past.
Come early for the best finds: regulars know the finest treasures are spotted at opening. Refreshments and food on site let you enjoy the friendly atmosphere typical of Norman flea markets.
