Car boot sale and sea flea market: the Breton flea market by the harbor

Every June, the APMB Festival Committee organizes the open-air car boot sale and sea flea market at the Maison Blanche site, route de Sainte-Anne du Portzic in Brest. This friendly event welcomes between 50 and 100 exhibitors, all private sellers, who come to offer their second-hand treasures in a green setting near the Brest harbor.

The exceptional setting of the Sainte-Anne du Portzic peninsula, west of Brest, gives this car boot sale a unique maritime atmosphere. Exhibitors set up their stalls in the outdoor area from 7:30 AM, before opening to visitors at 9:00 AM. The day continues until 5:30 PM, offering long hours of treasure hunting in a pleasant environment. Tables, chairs, and racks are not provided to exhibitors, who must bring their own equipment.

Private sellers and visitors: a solidarity approach

The car boot sale and sea flea market is exclusively reserved for private sellers, which guarantees an authentic atmosphere and accessible prices. Visitors enter for free and can browse the stalls offering toys, clothes, appliances, furniture, and various items. A free coffee for exhibitors reflects the welcoming spirit of the organizing association.

The Association des plaisanciers de Maison Blanche (APMB) brings together boaters and sea lovers located at the Maison Blanche site, at the tip of the Sainte-Anne du Portzic peninsula. By organizing this annual car boot sale, it creates a link between local residents, boaters, and Brest residents looking for bargains.

The route de Sainte-Anne du Portzic leads to one of the most picturesque points of the Brest peninsula. This area, popular with hikers and boaters, offers superb views of the Brest harbor, the goulet, and the Crozon peninsula. After the car boot sale, a walk along the coastal paths is a must to fully enjoy this exceptional natural site.

The car boot sale and sea flea market is held on the first Sunday of June, from 9 AM to 5:30 PM, Maison Blanche, 2880 route de Sainte-Anne du Portzic, Brest (29200). Free entry. Private sellers: €3.50 per linear meter. Catering and refreshments on site, parking available.
