About Grand Val Flea Market

Every spring, the Parent-Teacher Association of the Jean-Jacques Rousseau school mobilises the whole community to organise the Grand Val Flea Market. With over 300 vendors spread across the streets surrounding the school, this solidarity-driven event is one of Val-de-Marne's largest flea markets, with all proceeds funding school activities and projects.

When the School Does Its Own Flea Market for Its Children

The Grand Val Flea Market is one of those events that prove collective effort can achieve great things. Born from the initiative of the Parent-Teacher Association (APE) of the Jean-Jacques Rousseau primary school in Sucy-en-Brie, this annual flea market has become one of the most anticipated brocante events in the commune and the department.

300+ Vendors Across the Neighbourhood Streets

Boulevard Louis Boon, Rue Carnot and Rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau transform for the day into an open-air second-hand market. Over 300 vendors — private individuals from Sucy-en-Brie and nearby communes — bring a remarkable variety of goods: childhood toys, clothing, books, tableware, furniture, trinkets and decorative objects. Entry is entirely free for visitors.

A Solidarity Mission: Funding Pupils' Success

What sets the Grand Val Flea Market apart is the clarity of its purpose: every euro raised goes directly to funding school activities, educational materials, outings and projects that contribute to the wellbeing of Jean-Jacques Rousseau school pupils. By participating as a vendor or visitor, everyone contributes concretely to these children's education.
