Every first Sunday of June, the peaceful Village de la Besse, a district of Yssingeaux, transforms into a huge open-air second-hand market. With its 300 exhibitors and more spread over 8 hectares along the Allée des Platanes, this car boot sale has become over the years the largest in the Haute-Loire department and one of the unmissable events of the summer in Auvergne.

An exceptional outdoor space

The Allée des Platanes offers a remarkable natural setting for this popular event. Exhibitors line up for hundreds of meters in the shade of the large trees, creating a unique treasure hunting promenade. Old crockery, clothes, books, toys, tools, furniture, trinkets, and unusual objects: the diversity of goods on offer is commensurate with the area covered.

Easy access and attractive prices

Registration is simple and the price is very affordable: €1 per linear meter, no reservation required. Exhibitors set up from dawn at 5 am, allowing early morning bargain hunters to enjoy the event before the crowds. The event continues until 7 pm, offering a long day conducive to discovery and good deals.
