The Grand Car Boot Sale of Lion-sur-Mer: 150 exhibitors in the heart of the seaside resort

Every year in August, the Comité des Fêtes of Lion-sur-Mer organizes a large car boot sale that takes over the center of this elegant seaside resort on the Côte de Nacre. Approximately 150 exhibitors set up around the town hall square, in the Boulevard du Calvados car park, the Trianon car park, and Rue Edmond Bellin, creating a vast open-air market ideal for treasure hunting.

An early morning event for motivated bargain hunters

Opening at 6 am allows the most motivated bargain hunters to browse the stalls before the crowds arrive. This is often when the best deals are found, as exhibitors finish setting up their items. Until 6 pm, the car boot sale is in full swing, attracting locals and summer holidaymakers alike on the Norman coast.

An exceptional setting between the sea and Belle Époque villas

Lion-sur-Mer, with its Belle Époque villas, its seafront, and its 17th-century Château de Lion, offers a particularly pleasant setting for treasure hunting. Visitors can combine their morning at the flea market with a stroll along the seafront or a swim at the beach. The car boot sale takes place just a short walk from the casino and the sea, in a typical Norman seaside resort environment.
