Every May 1st, the village of Domqueur, nestled in Picard Ponthieu between Abbeville and Doullens, becomes the setting for one of the most endearing associative flea markets in the north of the Somme. Organized by the Friends of the Muches Association, it owes its identity to the unique historical feature of the village: the muches of Domqueur, a vast network of medieval underground refuges classified as historic monuments.

The Friends of the Muches Association, driving force

The Friends of the Muches Association is the associative and cultural engine of the village. It ensures the safeguarding, restoration and tourist promotion of this remarkable site. The May Day flea market is one of the highlights of financing these heritage actions.

An accessible and friendly format

Open to private sellers and professionals alike, it offers a very accessible rate of €1.50 per linear meter. Reservations are made by telephone with Louis or Claudine.

What can be found

The Domqueur flea market offers a rich and varied assortment, mixing private flea market and some professional stands. Clothing, old crockery, books, toys, tools, knick-knacks, small furniture.

Refreshments, food and village atmosphere

The day is punctuated by the refreshment stand and catering provided by the Friends of the Muches volunteers. Fries, sandwiches, homemade pastries: enough to eat without leaving the premises. Not to be confused with Mesnil-Domqueur, a distinct neighboring commune.
