Neighborhood bargain hunting at the gates of Amiens
In Glisy, a small commune of Amiens Métropole, a two-day house sale offers a different format for bargain hunters. Unlike large réderies that attract hundreds of exhibitors, the house sale favours intimacy: one place, one family emptying years of accumulation, afternoon hours perfect for a quiet visit.
The house sale is increasingly popular as an alternative to traditional flea markets. For organisers facing a move or a succession, it's a practical and eco-friendly solution. For hunters, it guarantees coherence in what they find: one world, one era, one taste.
Full or partial furniture (sofas, tables, chairs, wardrobes, desks), crockery, glassware, kitchen utensils, small appliances, linen, curtains, clothes, shoes, books, toys, tools, garden equipment, decor, lighting. Prices are generally negotiable.
Glisy is a small commune east of Amiens, combining an old village core with suburban extensions linked to the proximity of the metropolis and the Amiens-Glisy aerodrome.
The hours (11am to 5:30pm) suit a late morning or early afternoon visit. Bring cash and, ideally, a vehicle adapted if you plan to take furniture away.
2 rue Francis Desavois, 80440 Glisy. From Amiens via D929 or A29 motorway (Amiens-Est exit). Parking on site.
Saturday and Sunday, 11:00am to 5:30pm.
Private house sale. Furniture, crockery, everyday items, textiles, decor.
Free entry for visitors.
