Garage Sale at the Fête aux 1000 couleurs: a fair within a fair

The Fête aux 1000 couleurs is Chennevières-sur-Marne's flagship summer event. Organised each June by the Municipal Social Centre, this colourful neighbourhood festival brings together hundreds of residents and visitors around live music, activities for all ages, community stalls and festive food. And at the heart of this lively celebration: a sizeable garage sale.

Set on the Colline du Bois l'Abbé (rue Rabelais), the garage sale welcomes around 200 private sellers offering second-hand goods in a leafy, convivial setting. The unique atmosphere of this event stems from its integration into a much larger festival: between browsing the brocante stalls, visitors can catch a live concert, taste dishes prepared by local associations, or bring the children to enjoy specially organised entertainment.
