Exceptional 2nd Sunday of June edition of the flea market at Place de l'Aigle Noir
As every month, Place de l'Aigle Noir in Fontainebleau (77300) hosts its professional flea market. A peculiarity of the 2026 edition: it will be held exceptionally on the second Sunday of June, 14 June 2026, instead of the usual third Sunday. Bargain hunters and collectors are invited to note this exceptional calendar change so as not to miss the event.
Occasional calendar adjustments are common in monthly flea markets: they allow avoiding conflicts with other local events, Father's Day, or simply organizational constraints. For the Fontainebleau flea market, this move to the second Sunday of June also reflects the tourist season in full swing. Numerous visitors, motivated dealers, and usually ideal weather make this edition one of the most pleasant of the year.
As with all editions, the flea market is reserved for professional dealers. No food stalls, no car boot sales: only established antique dealers and brocanteurs with their best pieces. Visitors find period furniture, porcelain and glassware, paintings, antique jewelry, books and posters, decorative objects, curiosities, militaria, and many other treasures.
In June, Fontainebleau is at its zenith. The forest is radiant, the château gardens display their finest blooms, and the café terraces are packed. The flea market is the ideal opportunity to combine bargain hunting with tourism.
The flea market takes place at Place de l'Aigle Noir in Fontainebleau, from 9 AM to 5 PM, on Sunday 14 June 2026. Free entry. Access by car (public parking nearby) or by train from Fontainebleau-Avon station from Paris-Gare de Lyon.
