Plant fair and car boot sale organized by the festival committee at the Saint-Cybranet village hall.
In spring, the Saint-Cybranet Festival Committee organizes its plant fair and car boot sale at the impasse of the village hall. This dual event combines the pleasure of gardening with that of bargain hunting, in an authentic village setting in Périgord Noir. Exhibitors offer seasonal flower, vegetable, and herb plants, alongside stalls selling second-hand items, crockery, clothing, and trinkets.
Saint-Cybranet is a small, peaceful village located in the Céou Valley, between Domme and Daglan. Bordered by the Céou river, a tributary of the Dordogne, this village of fewer than 500 inhabitants offers a preserved natural setting. Limestone cliffs, century-old walnut trees, and pale stone houses make up a typical landscape of southern Périgord Noir. The Château de Saint-Cybranet and the Romanesque church bear witness to a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages.
The plant fair allows local gardeners to exchange plants, cuttings, and advice, while the car boot sale attracts bargain hunters. This original combination makes this event a convivial moment appreciated by the inhabitants of the Céou Valley and its surroundings. The Saint-Cybranet Festival Committee, founded in 1983, is the driving force behind the village's community life and regularly organizes meals, car boot sales, and festive events.
The event takes place all day at the impasse of the Saint-Cybranet village hall. Entry is free. Refreshments and food are available on site by the festival committee.
