The May 1st Peasant Fair and Flea Market

Every May 1st, the village of Dizy-le-Gros, in the north of Aisne, hosts its Foire Paysanne et Brocante, a festive event that combines treasure hunting and discovery of local products. Set up on rue de Clermont and in the adjacent streets, this fair has become a must-attend May 1st event for the inhabitants of the Sissonne and Montcornet area.

Original and Festive Entertainment

Beyond the traditional flea market, the Foire Paysanne de Dizy-le-Gros stands out with its original entertainment: a potato peeling contest, a biggest french fry eater contest, the presence of farm animals, and carousels for children. The on-site refreshment stand and restaurant provide hearty food throughout the day.

Free Registration at the Town Hall

A popular feature: exhibitor registration for the flea market part is completely free and is done at the Dizy-le-Gros town hall during opening hours. This free registration encourages participation and guarantees a rich and varied display. The Foire Paysanne, in parallel, allows local producers to present and sell their Picardy regional products.
