Every third Sunday of July, the village of Brénod, located in the Haut-Bugey at over 800 meters above sea level, hosts its traditional fair. This festive event combines a flea market, crafts, and musical entertainment in the heart of this mountain village typical of the southern Jura.
In the center of the village, flea market vendors offer antique furniture, trinkets, tableware, books, and collector's items. A craft market complements the offerings with local creations and regional products from the Haut-Bugey. The car boot sale, open to individuals, offers pitches for 5 euros for 5 meters, without prior reservation.
Musical entertainment enlivens the day from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., creating a festive atmosphere in the village streets. A refreshment stand is open all day and fast food is available from noon. Registration is on-site from 6:30 a.m., with an identity document.
Brénod is a village of character on the Haut-Bugey plateau, surrounded by coniferous forests and pastures. Its altitude and relative isolation make it a preserved place, where the fair retains an authentic and popular character.
