The Foire aux Puces de Louvemont (52130) is one of the most popular autumn events in the Der-Chantecoq area. Organized in September, it is one of the last flea markets of the season in this rural area of northern Haute-Marne, offering bargain hunters a final chance to find great treasures before the winter months. With its 70 exhibitors, it is the ideal size to offer a varied selection without losing the friendly atmosphere of small rural fairs.

Louvemont is a village in the Perthois region of Champagne, in this vast agricultural area that stretches across northern Haute-Marne, between the Champagne plain and the first hills. Its geographical location, near Wassy and the lake of Der-Chantecoq, makes it a village benefiting from a dual influence: that of the agricultural tradition of Champagne and that of the lakeside tourism that has animated the area since the creation of the Der in the 1970s.

The month of September is particularly favorable for outdoor events in this area: the intense heat of summer has passed, but the autumn warmth is still very present. Visitors can stroll among the stalls without suffering from the heatwave, in a late summer light that is particularly conducive to discovering the objects on display. This period also attracts ornithologists who begin to monitor the arrival of grey cranes on the Der, with the first contingents appearing in September.
