The event spreads along Boulevard des Fossés and Avenue des Écoles, near the medieval centre of Montpezat-de-Quercy. It's the ideal moment, before the summer heat, to fill your garden while bargain hunting for items for the home or balcony.

The plant fair welcomes nurseries, horticulturists, producers of vegetable and herb plants, garden designers, sellers of tools and garden furniture. Private individuals join in offering seedlings, cuttings, seeds, but also outdoor furniture, pottery, garden décor. On the flea market side, private sellers display crockery, toys, books, clothes, knick-knacks, indoor furniture. This double offer draws a varied public, from gardening fans to traditional bargain hunters.

What you can find on the plant side

Heirloom tomato seedlings, herbs (thyme, rosemary, savory, sage typical of Quercy), flowering shrubs, rose bushes, perennials, edging plants, fruit trees, vegetable seedlings, but also second-hand garden tools, terracotta pots, vintage garden furniture, outdoor decoration. Several local nurseries take part regularly.

Practical tips

Bring a tote or large bag for the plants, and cash. To carry young shoots or shrubs, an open vehicle or light trailer helps. The best plants often go in the morning.
