Grand flea market in July in Châtillon-en-Diois, ~115 exhibitors in the heart of Diois
The Foire aux Greniers de Châtillon-en-Diois is one of the summer highlights in the Diois region. Every last Sunday of July, this medieval village nestled in the Bez valley hosts around 115 exhibitors in its square and narrow streets. Individuals and bargain hunters gather for a full day of flea market in the heart of one of the most authentic valleys of the Drôme, in the shade of old stones and fountains.
Every last Sunday of July, the Foire aux Greniers takes over Châtillon-en-Diois, transforming its medieval streets into a vast second-hand market. With its approximately 115 exhibitors, this summer event is one of the largest rural flea markets in the Drôme department. It attracts bargain hunters and strollers from all over Diois and neighboring valleys for a day of treasure hunting in an exceptional setting.
Châtillon-en-Diois, the capital of Diois at 570 meters above sea level, is one of the best-preserved villages in southern Drôme. Its cobbled streets, fountains, stone houses with lauze roofs, and the remains of its medieval ramparts form a striking setting for a flea market. The stalls are set up in the main square and spill into the alleys of the old town, creating a treasure hunt route that invites exploration of the village's nooks and crannies.
Each year, the Foire aux Greniers brings together about a hundred exhibitors, mainly individuals from the region who are clearing out their attics, cellars, and barns. You can find a wide variety of items: country furniture, antique tableware, agricultural tools, books, toys, clothing, trinkets, and various curiosities. But also, regularly, real treasures: regional earthenware, objects from pastoral life, or testimonies of the artisanal past of the Diois region. The proximity to Vercors, Dévoluy, and Baronnies guarantees a particular richness in the objects that pass through this market.
The Foire aux Greniers is held every end of July in Châtillon-en-Diois (26410), accessible from Die via the D93 (20 km). Information is available from the Châtillon-en-Diois town hall.
The Foire aux Greniers of Châtillon-en-Diois returns on Sunday, July 26, 2026, for its annual grand flea market day in this medieval village of Diois. Approximately 115 exhibitors expected in the village square and streets.
