August 15th Foire à tout in this Norman village between Pont-Audemer and Beuzeville
August 15th is one of the most auspicious public holidays for fairs and flea markets in France, and Normandy is no exception. The Foire à tout de Trouville-la-Haule perpetuates this tradition by offering every year, on Assumption Day, a gathering of exhibitors and bargain hunters in this village in the Eure.
Trouville-la-Haule is a commune in the Eure department located on the plateau of the Norman Pays d'Auge, between the Risle valley and the road to Beuzeville. This agricultural village, set in a landscape of grassy hedgerows, hosts a "foire à tout" for August 15th that brings the village out of its usual tranquility.
The day brings together local exhibitors – individuals wanting to clear out their attics – and flea market enthusiasts from neighboring towns. Clothing, furniture, tableware, antique objects, books, and toys are piled on trestle tables and in car boots for the delight of bargain hunters. Free entry and a friendly atmosphere make this "foire à tout" a cherished moment of sharing for everyone.
Trouville-la-Haule is located about 10 km east of Beuzeville and 12 km north of Pont-Audemer. From Pont-Audemer, take the D810 towards Beuzeville and follow local signs. From Rouen, take the A13 motorway, exit at Beuzeville, then follow local roads.
Free parking in the village on the day of the fair.
