Double summer event in Cierrey: 44th car boot sale and 19th book fair, two days of treasure hunting in the Eure
The Cierrey car boot sale and book fair is one of the most original and anticipated events in the Eure department. Every year in July, this Norman village simultaneously hosts its car boot sale — one of the oldest in the department with its 44th edition in 2026 — and its book fair, whose 19th edition testifies to its longevity. This two-day double program makes Cierrey an unmissable event for treasure hunters and literature lovers from the Eure and neighboring regions.
With 44 editions, the Cierrey car boot sale is one of the most established popular events in the Eure's event landscape. Over the decades, it has retained a loyal audience of regular treasure hunters and exhibitors who gather every summer for this great unpacking day. Furniture, tableware, clothing, toys, tools, and trinkets of all kinds are displayed on stalls in a friendly and festive atmosphere.
The book fair, in its 19th edition in 2026, is a more specialized event that attracts literature lovers, collectors of old books, and bargain-hunting readers. Novels, essays, art books, comic books, old books, old textbooks, and rare publications are found side-by-side on the stalls of booksellers and individuals. The prices allow you to enrich your library at a lower cost, in an atmosphere of shared passion for books.
Cierrey is a Norman village in the Eure located in the Iton Valley, near Évreux and Conches-en-Ouche. This peaceful town, surrounded by hedgerows and meadows, offers the typical rural charm of Norman villages. The tradition of its summer fairs contributes to the cultural and social animation of this rural community throughout the summer.
Spanning two days, the Cierrey event offers visitors the opportunity to return the next day to discover what they might have missed on the first day. The exhibitors at the book fair and car boot sale have enough time to set up comfortably and offer their items in the best conditions. A refreshment stand and light catering usually accompany the event.
Free admission for visitors. Event over two days: Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19, 2026.
