Flea market and car boot sale as part of the famous Foire à la Citrouille of Sologne
The Foire à la Citrouille of Millançay, an emblematic event of Sologne for over 35 editions, integrates a car boot sale and a flea market every year. In September, this Solognot village welcomes thousands of visitors around pumpkins, the local produce market, and the open-air car boot sale. A unique autumn gathering in Loir-et-Cher.
For over 35 editions, the Foire à la Citrouille de Millançay has been one of the most popular events in Sologne. This village, located between Romorantin-Lanthenay and Salbris, transforms every late September into a large autumn market where the pumpkin reigns supreme, accompanied by a car boot sale and a local produce market.
The car boot sale of the Foire à la Citrouille brings together exhibitors offering bric-a-brac, autumn decoration items, tableware, and curiosities. In parallel, the local produce market showcases products from Sologne: honey, game, goat cheeses, jams, and of course, gourds in all their varieties.
The Foire à la Citrouille is also a family event with entertainment, an art exhibition, craft demonstrations, and contests for the largest pumpkin. The autumnal atmosphere of Sologne, with its golden colors and surrounding forests, adds to the charm of this unique day.
The Foire à la Citrouille of Millançay returns at the end of September 2026 with a flea market, local produce market, and entertainment.
