Annual Car Boot Sale — Gintrac, Causse de Martel, Lot
Each year, the Association de Chasse du Causse organizes the Gintrac car boot sale, a charming village on the Causse de Martel overlooking the Dordogne valley. Between 50 and 100 private and professional exhibitors gather in the Place de la Mairie for a friendly day of treasure hunting, with catering on site. Free entry for visitors in this small village of Quercy with preserved heritage.
Nestled on the Causse de Martel in the Lot (46130), the village of Gintrac hosts its annual grand car boot sale each year, organized by the Association de Chasse du Causse. This village of about a hundred inhabitants, on the banks of the Dordogne and close to Carennac, Loubressac, and Prudhomat, benefits from an exceptional natural setting between the causses and the valley.
The Gintrac car boot sale brings together between 50 and 100 exhibitors, including private individuals clearing out their attics and flea market professionals. The Place de la Mairie is transformed for the occasion into a vast second-hand market where you can find clothes, everyday objects, books, toys, tableware, old tools, and small furniture. The atmosphere remains that of a village car boot sale, warm and unpretentious, conducive to good deals and conversations between exhibitors and visitors.
Gintrac belongs to the Communauté de communes Causses et Vallée de la Dordogne. The village is close to the Château de Taillefer, which overlooks the Dordogne and is the subject of organized nature walks with the Pays d'art et d'histoire. The Parc naturel régional des Causses du Quercy surrounds the commune, offering a landscape of limestone and garrigue typical of Quercy. For visitors coming from Figeac or Brive, it is also an opportunity to discover a preserved territory between the Dordogne and the Lot.
The organization of this car boot sale is handled by the Association de Chasse du Causse, which thus contributes to the animation of the village and local associative life. The profits from the event are reinvested in the association's activities and in the maintenance of the natural spaces it manages. Food and drinks are available on site all day.
The car boot sale is generally held in May, at Place de la Mairie in Gintrac (46130). Visitors enter for free. Exhibitors book their spot with the association. Parking is available in the village.
The Gintrac car boot sale returns on May 24, 2026, at Place de la Mairie. Organized by the Association de Chasse du Causse, between 50 and 100 exhibitors, free entry, catering on site.
